On a recent visit to sit with Grandmother Ocean, to meditate and offer my gratitude to her, she and the birds shared some wisdom with me about being at home in Nature.
This place is your home. The land. The ocean. Your home is not just the place where your physical house is. But the land we all share is your home.
Get to know the place where you live. A feeling of home comes when you create a relationship. When you build a relationship with the place where you live, you feel at home. The land and where she meets the Ocean Mother are where you live. She’s your mother, she’s your home.
Life doesn’t feel lonely when you feel at home in Nature. When you recognize and build relationships with the many living beings who inhabit the earth, sky and sea, like the rock beings, the bird beings, the animal beings and the plant beings. Including us, your Ocean Mother and Earth Mother.
After my visit I felt invigorated in body and spirit. I could feel the freshness in my feet from her cold waters and the soft sand. It felt wonderful!
If you would like to join me to deepen your relationship with Nature please join me on most Thursdays and Sundays for Morning Meditation with Grandmother Ocean in Santa Cruz. Click here to learn more.
